SME Panels

The project is in conformity with the Entrepreneurship Action Plan (EAP) adopted by the Commission on 11 February 2004.

The realization of the project will contribute to the strategic priority area of the EAP “Creating a more SME-friendly regulatory and administrative framework” and its key action “Listening to SMEs” aiming in particular to give SMEs a stronger voice in EU policy-making. Among the different sub-actions foreseen by the EAP for the achievement of a more SME-friendly regulatory environment are the SME panels, a mechanism of consultation of SMEs via the EIC network.

The objective of the project is to increase, via the SME Panels that will be organised by our EIC, the participation of SMEs from South-west of Bulgaria in EU policy making and to make the expected output more significant and easier to use for the relevant Commission services.

SME Panel makes part of the work, contributing by giving the Commission and its contractors the knowledge of the experiences, difficulties and costs encountered by small and medium sized businesses whilst implementing the waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) Directive.
